Dreaming of the day when buildings are solar powered, cars run on fuels we can grow, energy comes from wind turbines, and all food is organic? You can live the dream—for a weekend, at least—during the Texas Renewable Energy Roundup: Green Living and Sustainability Fair, a joint project of the Texas Solar Energy Society and the Texas Renewable Energy Industries Association, on September 20-22, 2002, in Fredericksburg, Texas.

Thousands will gather in the Texas Hill Country to explore the latest innovations in renewable resources, organic growing, green building, and water use and recovery. More than ninety booths and 100 “tent talks” will offer information on everything from straw bale construction to rainwater collection. Natural Home editor-in-chief Robyn Griggs Lawrence will deliver a keynote address on Saturday at 12 p.m. Randy Udall, director of the Community Office for Resource Efficiency (CORE) will speak on Sunday at noon.

The Roundup is held on the Marktplatz in downtown Fredericksburg.
