• Since 1993, the Nike Reuse-a-Shoe program has recycled more than 15 million pairs of running shoes. Nike accepts worn-out athletic shoes of all brands and recycles them into material used to resurface fields, courts, tracks and playgrounds.
• Running shoes in good condition can be donated to the Shoes for Africa Program, which collects running shoes and sends them to runners in West Africa.
