Greener woofs

A designer doghouse, complete with a vegetated roof, a photovoltaic solar panel (to power the exhaust fan) and recycled building materials, was created by the Frank Harmon Architect team for the 2005 Triangle Beagle Rescue of North Carolina fundraiser. Dubbed the Dog Box, this pooch palace demonstrates that the principles of sustainable architecture can be applied to any built structure—even a dog house. They’re not available for retail—unless you roll over and beg.

Who killed the electric car?

EV Confidential, a whodunit documentary written and directed by Chris Paine, delves into the electric car’s mysterious demise and the future of transportation. The Sony Pictures Classics film premiered at the 2006 Sundance Film Festival in January.
