A Greener Shade of Kelley Blue Book

Kelley Blue Book has long been the car sales industry’s standard for determining the value of new and used cars, but with the launch of its new feature, KBB Green, Kelley’s website takes aim at the growing green-niche section of the industry.

Les Kelley first published the now-famous Kelley Blue Book in 1926; the Internet version came out in 1996. Both developments were considered innovative to the car-sales industry. Now, in another move to keep up with the times, the institution brings a complete resource for the consumer who is concerned about purchasing fuel-efficient, sustainable vehicles.

KBB Green presents the pros and cons of automotive technologies that offer alternatives to traditional fossil-fueled cars. Alternatives such as biofuels, “clean” diesel, flex fuel, fuel cells, hybrids and natural gas can be compared to each other as well as to traditional models.

The site promises to offer reliable, non-biased, non-speculative information and analysis regarding not only alternative automotive technologies but also information pertaining directly to environmental issues such as global warming. Blogs and forums are also available to allow for debate and conversations among consumers. Visit www.kbb.com for more information.
