We found the antique doorknobs on our May/June 2010 cover at Whistle Stop Antiques in Santa Rosa, California, the oldest antique collective in Sonoma County. Partner Dee Richardson offers these ideas for reusing beautiful vintage knobs.

1. Mount on a piece of wood for a unique coat hanger.

2. Fill a glass bowl for an interesting centerpiece.

3. Use as curtain rod finials, on bed posts or to fasten lampshades.
